Eight-legged Stools
Every one has a story.

Stool #3: Red Oak with Walnut center stripe on top and legs ALL red oak.

Second Stool
Stool #3

This is the only picture I can find of this stool. This is the first stool I built with the legs aligned with the corners. I think it looks better this way. I liked the center stripe of Walnut so well on Stool #2 that I repeated it here using some more of the same piece I rescued from my stove wood pile (some years ago) and saved in the corner of my garage. I made all the legs of red oak because I couldn't think of a way to make them go with the stripe in the top (and I was running out of Walnut.)

Third Stool
Stool#3 in new home

After building my first 7 stools, this is the first one I could bear to part with (See Stool #7). A house (apartment) warming gift for a close friend, Emily, who just moved to Chicago from New York City. She seemed happy to get it. I hope it serves her long and well.
