During my treatment for cancer, part of my therapy was building these 8-legged stools. They are kind of silly but are fun to build and took my mind off other things.
These logs have supplied me with most my lumber. Family owned woodlands in located in N-W Wisconsin. My brother Roland and I are loading Red Oak and Black Cherry for a mill run.
Many stands made from Red Oak and Black Walnut. Design from Roland Baker.
These are numbers 4 and 5 of the series.
This is modeled after a unit that I built 40 years ago which we have used in our living room ever since.
One day my son came to me and asked if I could build him some shelves for his room. We came up with this design.
Patterned after a splay-legged stool design created by my brother Roland.
